Welcome to Alfred Salter Primary School, a place where each child is valued, nurtured, and given the opportunity to grow into fulfilled individuals.

At Alfred Salter Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive community. We believe in providing a supportive and nurturing environment where every child and every family feels welcomed and valued.

Our curriculum is creative and arts-rich, rooted in the local area while making connections with the wider world. We prioritise offering excellent experiences and opportunities for all of our children. As part of our commitment to providing a well-rounded education, all children learn a musical instrument of their choice for a year, have two years of swimming lessons, and we offer three residential trips throughout their journey with us.

We are proud to have a strong community ethos and have an active PTFA committe led by our parents. We actively seek out opportunities to work in partnership with other organisations too. We believe in giving back to the community and are currently redeveloping our sports facilities in partnership with several organisations to make them accessible to the wider community.

At Alfred Salter Primary School, we aim to create a high-performing culture that addresses underachievement while providing a calm and purposeful environment with the right support for everyone. We believe in the power of learning together as a community and providing opportunities for new experiences.
