Today we made vegetable soup, we chopped the vegetables: carrots, parsnips, butternut squash, leek, onions, sweet potato and finally a clove of garlic. This will be simmered for three hours ready for us to eat for supper. To accompany the soup we made a selection of homemade bread; this was plaited and decorated with sunflower seeds and poppy seeds. We are keen to try and make this bread at home.
