The theme for Black History Month  this Year is ‘Proud to Be.’ To celebrate Black History Month at Alfred Salter, we have been looking at a range of past and present black British role models. In Crimson Class, the children have been researching Lilian Bader. 

Lilian Bader was born in 1918 in Liverpool and went on to become one of the very first black women to join the British Armed Forces.
