This term, Year One are learning about explorers, including Francis Drake. As we are not able to visit the Golden Hinde this year, the children walked down to the docks, where they looked closely at the modern day boats, making sketches which they could compare with the Golden Hinde. Today's boats are definitely bigger and more comfortable!
