School Uniform

Alfred Salter school uniform is red, white and grey. 

UNIFORM

Phase One (Nursery, Reception and Year One) 

  • Red sweatshirt or cardigan with either Alfred Salter logo or plain (no other logo is permitted).
  • White polo shirt (not a t-shirt).
  • Dark grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress. Tracksuit bottoms are permitted for children in Phase One (no jeans).
  • Red checked summer dress.
  • Plain black trainers.
  • White, black or grey socks or grey or red tights.
  • Book bag with Alfred Salter logo.

Phase Two and Three (Years Two - Six) 

  • Red sweatshirt or cardigan with either Alfred Salter logo or plain (no other logo is permitted).
  • White polo shirt (not a t-shirt).
  • Dark grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress (No jeans or tracksuit bottoms).
  • Red checked summer dress.
  • Plain black trainers. 
  • White, black or grey socks or grey or red tights.
  • Book bag with Alfred Salter logo.

PE and GAMES

Indoor

  • House PE T-shirt with Alfred Salter logo.
  • Plain black PE shorts.
  • Black trainers or plimsolls.

Outdoor

  • Plain black PE shorts or tracksuit bottoms (winter).
  • House PE T-shirt with Alfred Salter logo.
  • Black trainers

Swimming (Years 3 and 4)

  • Alfred Salter reflective swimming bag
  • Swim suit (one piece) or swim trunks (not shorts style)
  • Swimming hat
  • Towel

Optional items

  • Red Alfred Salter waterproof jacket.
  • Grey Alfred Salter fleece jacket.

All Alfred Salter Logo items are available to order via Parent Mail and collect from the school office. 

Please ensure that you purchase name labels for your child’s uniform and kit. We do appreciate it can be very frustrating when items of uniform are lost so please ensure that you label each item with your child’s name and class.

No jewellery (other than plain studs for pierced ears) are permitted as they could pose a health and safety issue. If a child has their ears pierced, only plain stud earrings are accepted. We do not expect any other body piercings aside from ears.

Long hair should be tied back. Children should not wear make-up, nail varnish or fake nails to school.

Girls wearing hijabs or headscarves should wear plain black, white, red or grey hijabs to match with the colours of the school.
