Easter Holiday learning - Week 1

Posted on: 06/04/2020

This week is the first of what should have been the Easter holidays. Whilst the school remains open for a few key pupils, we think that all children deserve to have a little break from home learning for a couple of weeks!

However, we also appreciate that boredom may set in so, although we won't be posting the usual daily English and Maths lessons for the next two weeks, we will be placing a link to slightly different Pobble writing activities over which the children can take their time (they're meant to last a whole week!). If your child would like to continue with their maths learning, we suggest revisiting the last few weeks' White Rose work available here: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/ or using the kids.classroomsecrets login and playing on Times Tables Rockstars.

If you would like some more hands-on activities, there are some great ideas here: https://activities.homelearning.outwood.com/ and here https://www.scouts.org.uk/the-great-indoors/ and the Guides will continue to post their daily challenges (see our previous news post). We will also be adding more activities to our 'Fun Websites' page, which you can find on this website, under the 'Learning' tab.

Finally, you might like to check out Charles Dickens Primary School, a local Southwark school, who are posting daily lessons about all sorts of different subjects - click here if you want to investigate: http://www.charlesdickens.southwark.sch.uk/

We hope that you are all well and that you are staying safe at home. We miss you all lots and school isn't the same without you! Please keep in touch!
